Vader No-Shows Chael Sonnen’s Podcast, Sonnen Calls Him A Scumbag
Vader was recently set to be a guest on Chael Sonnen’s podcast “You’re Welcome” but no-showed the whole episode. At the beginning, Sonnen said he felt as though Vader would “flake” on him and didn’t expect things to end well. He gave Vader as much time as he could before finally ranting about him.
He said: “This is the biggest podcast in MMA, and at the end of the day, that’s just Vader. This is an opportunity for Vader and this is not going to end well, should he not call in.”
At one point, Sonnen texted Vader, then called him live on the air. He thought that maybe Vader was expecting the show to call him. When he got voicemail, he said: “Hey dumb-dumb, it’s Chael, down here waiting for ya, have a feeling we’ll be waiting awhile.”
After a half hour, Sonnen said that they made a deal for him to come on as a favor to another person, because Vader was “down on his luck.” Vader recently had a roll-over car accident that put him in rough shape. A week later, he announced he had two years to live due to congestive heart failure. Sonnen said he had to “do something” at the last minute for Vader to get him on. He claims that Vader was the one who came to him with the deal, then took off when it came time to do his part.
He added: “Man this guy is a carny, flake, he was writing me like he was drunk, illiterate, or dumb, or just getting ready to set me up, right from the jump. When you ‘scumbag’ a guy like me, a known gangster, when you pull a move like that one me. You’re doing it to people all over town, right? This is just copy-and-paste and you see what comes back, then you move on with your day. I can’t kick his a–, because he’s a dinosaur.”
Vader has been active on Twitter since the show was recorded but never mentioned it.
