Vince Russo Believes Wrestling Will Die If It Does Not Change
– Vince Russo has posted a new blog entry, discussing the problem with pro wrestling in its lack of growth and nothing changing despite all of TV and entertainment changing in the last 15 years. You can read an excerpt below.
“NOBODY cares about wrestling anymore other than those who care about wrestling. I don’t care about wrestling despite the fact that I’ve been watching since before I ever hit puberty. There is just nothing there–absolutely nothing to look forward to. It is bland, it is uneventful, it is . . . well . . . wrestling. In the last 15 years, everything has changed when it comes to entertainment. Reality TV has taken over the airwaves, traditional television has been taken over by cutting edge programming on paid networks, music has changed, sports has changed, but yet, the only thing that remains the same is professional wrestling. Just this past week Rusev didn’t leave the ring to go after another wrestler who was making out with his girl in front of him, simply because for the last 50 years, that imaginary wall continues to surrounded the ring preventing one wrestler from going after another for who knows why.”
