WrestleMania 33 Location To Be Revealed Next Week?
Wrestling Inc reports that WWE will announce the location for Wrestlemania 33 next week. That location is expected to be the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. A press conference will be held next Tuesday featuring Vince McMahon, John Cena and more.
The Orlando Biz Journal reported in 2013 that The Orlando Sports Commission received a request from WWE for a proposal to host the event in 2015 or 2016. The event was last held at the Citrus Bowl in 2008, bringing in 74,635 people. Shawn Michaels beat Ric Flair in Flair’s retirement match, Randy Orton beat John Cena and Triple H to retain the WWE title and The Undertaker beat Edge to win the World Heavyweight title. The stadium was rebult in 2014 after 90% of the stadium was torn down and replaced.
