September 20, 2014 | Posted by
– As previously reported, WWE agreed to a new TV deal with Ten Sports in India, which will see the channel broadcast WWE programming in India for 2015-2019.
The Hindu Business Line has published a new article on the deal, which says that sources claim that Ten Sports and WWE plan to invest over $100 million in the Indian sports entertainment marketplace. However, Ten Sports would not confirm that figure. The WWE General Manager of India, Rukn Kizilbash, did say that Ten Sports is making a good investment in the business.
Ten Sports will have exclusive rights to WWE programming in India through 2019. WWE Main Event will be added to the channel’s programming lineup along with a one-hour, customized version of Raw for the network.
