WWE Has Increased Security at Smackdown Tapings
– WrestlingInc reports that security was heavy for Tuesday’s Smackdown taping, causing some fans to miss the dark match and first match of Main Event. The site reports that security personnel was using metal detection wands and had some people empty their pockets.
There was also a security notice handed out which said that the following items were not allowed in: bags or briefcases, backpacks, purses larger than 16 inches x 16 inches, video cameras or recording devices, laser pointers or noise makers, weapons, selfie sticks, laptop computers or tablets, outside food or beverage, alcoholic beverages or drugs, luggage of any kind, camera bags and masks. It’s unclear if WWE Superstar masks were being allowed.
The move comes after the company increased their security following reports of a terror threat from ISIS at Survivor Series.
