WWE News: Good WWE Network News For Canada, Slam City DVD Update, More
– John Cena will appear on ABC’s Good Morning America on December 5.
– This past Wednesday, the CRTC approved Rogers’ application for the WWE Network to air in Canada. It will be a non-Canadian produced Network that can air in the country. This means that Rogers can begin making deals to bring the service to other carriers in Canada.
– This is the last weekend of the free month of WWE Network.
– Speaking of the Network, WWE has started adding Tribute to the Troops events to their VOD “In-Ring” section.
– The Hillsboro Times recently interviewed “Rowdy” Roddy Piper on why he lives in the area, his long career and more. When asked if he was retired, he said: “In my head, no. But I’ll be honest with you. Those boys are so big and strong now. It would be a dumb move for me to get back in there.”
He also spoke about his health right now. He added: “Some things, you can’t fix. My shoulder needs to be replaced. It’s just, “Ouch.” But I’ve had over 7,000 pro fights.”
– The DVD release of Slam City includes a behind-the-scenes look at the stop-motion animation used for the series.
