WWE News: Hulk Hogan Offered Spot on Celebrity Big Brother, New Sting Blu-ray/DVD Set in the Works, and More
– Zacks.com has released a report on WWE’s recent first quarter earnings release this past week. The site has upgraded WWE’s stock from Sell to Hold in its report. As of last week, WWE’s stock was down and closed Friday at $13.50.
– The Mirror reports that WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan received a huge offer to star on the next season of Celebrity Big Brother. UK Channel 5 wants Hogan to be a major talking point in the upcoming UK vs. US special series later this summer.
A source said on why producers want Hogan on this season: “Hulk is a big name. He’s known for being opinionated.”
– Former WWE announcer Scott Stanford recently won a New York Emmy award last night for “Outstanding Sports Anchor.” Stanford currently works as a sports anchor in New York City for WPIX Channel 11. (Credit: PWInsider)
– WrestlingDVDNews.com has some new details on another Sting DVD/Blu-ray release from WWE. The set will be a 3 disc DVD and a 2 disc Blu-ray, and it’s titled Sting: Into The Light. This will be the first WWE produced feature documentary on Sting.
The title is scheduled for an October release in North America and Europe. In addition, one other Superstar-themed video release is set to round out the year.
