WWE News: Ryback Trademark Request Blocked, Post-Show Airing After Hell in a Cell, New Network Promo
– PWInsider reports that Ryback’s attempt to trademark “Feed Me More” as a wrestling term: has been blocked due to WWE’s registered trademark for the same phrase — which is in turn blocked by an application by Ryback. Yeah, I have a headache too. Ryback registered the trademark on August 1st for wrestling use but the USPTO suspended action on it as WWE had applied to use it back in January. As such, nothing can be done with Ryback’s application until WWE’s trademark is abandoned or registered.
WWE’s application, in turn, is suspended as of last month because it would cause confudsion with a separate “Feed Me More” trademark applied for by Ryback for clothing use in July of last year. That trademark is in the Statement of Use phase, which is something he has to file.
– The WWE Network will air a “Raw Talk” post-show immediately following Hell in a Cell this Sunday. The show will likely be similar to “Talking Smack.”
