WWE News: Update On Increased Security At Live Events, Possible Ladder Match At TLC For Divas

WrestlingInc reports that Ric Flair could be brought to tonight’s RAW in Pittsburgh to announce a match between Paige and Charlotte for TLC. There have been talks about a possible Divas Ladder match at the event, possibly between these two, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

WCHSTV has a story about increased security at WWE live events due to the terrorist threat from ISIS. There were alleged threats from the group for Survivor Series in Atlanta, but a live event at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington, West Virginia also had more security measures taken.

Fans were asked to show up early and go through several stages of security. The doors opened at 3:30 PM for the 5 PM show to get everyone through as fast as possible. All bags were checked, every person was scanned with a metal detector wand and those with heavy coats were searched. A new feature was the addition of clear bags. Those with large purses and backpacks had to empty them into a clear bag and take their own bag to their car so everyone could see what they were carrying.

The news outlet spoke with people outside the event about the security.

One man, Harold Allen, said: “Well yeah, in a way but I just realized that stuff nowadays you just have to deal with it. Whatever it is, you know? Things are getting the way they are and they’re changing and you just have to adapt to them.
He added that he would rather be safe than sorry.
