Your host is Greg Hamilton and your ring announcer is Dasha Fuentes.

* Apollo Crews defeated “The Drifter” Elias Samson. Decent opener. Samson controlled most of the match until Crews made the comeback.

* Steve Cutler defeated Riddick Moss. Kind of a meh match. I like the power of Moss. Cutler is okay in the ring, but I have yet to see something spectacular out of him that makes me believe he’ll ever break out of his current lower card/TV enhancement role.

* Dana Brooke and Emma defeated Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. Solid match. I’m becoming a fan of Peyton Royce (minus the new name, which is pretty terrible). She’s so, id in the ring and getting better, plus she has a great look too.

* Tye Dillinger defeated Noah Kekoa. Surprisingly fun match. Tye is just so smooth in the ring. I was surprised by Noah. It was my first chance seeing him work a singles match and he did alright. He has solid height, is good at being vocal with the crowd and held his own in there. It’s way too early to guess his long term potential, but it’s a nice start.

*****SPOILER*******

* Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic:
Opening Round: Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady w/ Carmella defeated Sawyer Fulton and Angelo Dawkins. Fun match and Enzo and Cass are so over it’s ridiculous. This match was filmed for TV using a hard cam, and two handhelds. Air date was not announced. This was the only match taped for TV.

* Bayley comes out for a promo to the adulation of the audience. She talked about how without the crowds here in Florida, there would be no opportunity for the crew to do what tbey love and to perform in front of a huge crowd in Brooklyn. She then talked about how her friends have moved on and she doesn’t know when she’ll face them again. She talks about how that closes one chapter of her life but opens up a new and exciting chapter. She has had multiple opportunities and wants to give the strong, powerful, and amazing women in the back a chance. She issues a challenge for any woman to accept. Nia Jax comes out which leads to…..

* Bayley defeated Nia Jax to retain the NXT Women’s Championship. Decent match that saw Bayley having to constantly fight to overcome the size disadvantage. Every time Bayley got momentum, Nia would stop it until Nia missed a shoulder block into the ringpost and Bayley rolled her up for the win.

* WWE NXT Tag Team champions The Vaudevillains defeated Jason Jordan and Chad Gable. Good quality match. It’s flown kind of under the radar, but I do want to point out how much Simon Gotch has improved over the year. He’s much more comfortable as a personality and his in ring work is so much better. I still don’t know if The Vaudevillains gimmick will work on the main roster, but these two have the personality to give it a better shot than most others would.

* Finn Balor defeated Solomon Crowe to retain the NXT Heavyweight Championship. Really good match. These two have great chemistry and Crowe just works so much better as a heel. The match was hard hitting with great intensity and a quality main event.

Notes:

* While a match was filmed here for TV, I am not cetain if the previous night’s show in Tampa or any upcoming house shows will film material for NXT TV.

* Vickie Guerrero was in attendance but didn’t have any interaction with the actual show. She was very pleasant to meet, though.

* While not announced to the live crowd, Greg Hamilton noted that tonight would be his last night working NXT house shows in Florida. He will be working main roster live events, plus NXT TV and the larger NXT road shows. Good for him.

* Meet and greet was Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady, and Carmella.

* A return to Cocoa was announced as happening in October, but the actual date was not announced.
