WWE Removes Video of Ryback Botching the “Shell Shocked” Move on Paul Heyman

– A fan-shot video of Ryback botching his finishing move, the Shell Shocked, on Paul Heyman at the live Raw house show from Sunday in Hartford, Connecticut has been removed from YouTube due to a notification by WWE claiming copyright infringement.

While filming of video is prohibited at live WWE events, they usually do not actively have footage from the shows taken down from video-sharing and streaming websites. This particular video though got viral attention after it got noticed by Bill Goldberg, who is oft compared to Ryback, on Twitter.

Ryback was unable to lift Heyman for the move in the video. Ryback then improvised by instead performing a move similar to Goldberg’s finishing move, the Jackhammer.

Last week Goldberg said on Twitter that comparisons with Ryback did not offend him. However in response to the video of Ryback doing the Jackhammer, Goldberg tweeted the following:

“NOW comparisons offend me.”

Goldberg then wrote:

“Ryback is to @Goldberg as the Renegade was to @UltimateWarrior. It’s silly.”

Ryback had previously had trouble pulling off the Shell Shocked move before when he couldn’t hoist up Tensai for the move on Raw several weeks ago. Though it was speculated online that Tensai was sandbagging Ryback for the move.

Goldberg’s offense to the comparison is odd since while he did make the spear and Jackhammer moves famous, he’s not the only wrestler to have used them prominently.
