Kelvin Gastelum Suspended Six Months For Skipping Weigh-In at UFC 205

Kelvin Gastelum has earned a six-month suspension for no-showing the UFC 205 weigh-ins. The New York State Athletic Commission confirmed the suspension today via MMAjunkie. Gastelum’s manager Ali Abdelaziz says they plan to eppeal.

The suspension was issued after Gastelum didn’t show at the formal weigh-in, as he wasn’t even close to his target weight. He was set to fight Donald Cerrone, but that was scratched and Cerrone was rebooked against Matt Brown at UFC 206.

Gastelum won’t be eligible to fight again until mid-May, pending his appeal.
