It’s official: Halo Infinite will have a split-screen mode. 343 Industries on Thursday revealed during a live stream (per Reddit) that the game will have a four-player split-screen mode, confirming comments from 343 Industries head Bonnie Ross from DICE 2017 that all Halo FPS games going forward would have split screen. The mode returns after its absence from Halo 5: Guardians, a decision which many fans of the franchise were not happy about.

Also announced for the game are the addition of Black Undersuits, player customization inspired by Halo Reach and hardware optimization, plus Anti-Cheat, for PC. The new Halo Infinite Slipspace engine is not built from scratch, the stream noted, using elements from previous elements.

The game does not yet have a release date.
