Fortnite Battle Royale

As we previously reported, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro sued Epic Games over the use of his dance “The Carlton” as a dance emote in Fortnite. Now, Variety reports that rapper 2 Milly and Instagram sensation ‘Backpack Kid’ have filed complaints Epic Games and Take-Two Interactive over dance emotes in Fortnite and NBA 2K.

2 Milly is suing Epic over the “Milly Rock” dance he created for a 2014 music video. A similar dance was added to Fortnite in the fifth season called “Swipe It.” He claims that Epic never asked for his permission or gave him financial compensation. He filed the complaint against Epic last month and filed another one against Take-Two Interactive over NBA 2K18.

Backpack Kid is suing the publishers for using his dance “The Floss,” which he performed with Katy Perry during the song “Swish Swish” on an episode of Saturday Night Live. Two days later, he was interviewed by Inside Edition and the video received over 53 million views.
