Eberron: Rising From the Last War

We already knew an Eberron hardcover supplement was on the way, and now thanks to Amazon we know a lot more about it. Amazon has revealed the cover, release date and synopsis for Eberron: Rising from the Last War. The book will release on November 19th and will be an adventure and campaign book.

The description, which you can read in full below, suggests that this will be a mix of information from the previously-released The Wayfinder’s Guide to Eberronebook, which was never intended to be a hardcover. At the time of its release, D&D creative director Mike Mearls said that any Eberron print product would complement and incorporate some material from the Guide to present a complete physical book for Eberron, but would not replace the guide.

Rising From the Last War appears to include all of the race options from the Wayfinder’s Guide, including Dragonmarks. It will also add the Artificer class, a class that Wizards has been playtesting for quite some time. The description promises a new mechanic called “a group patron” which is described as “a background for your whole party,” along with a campaign for adventuring into Eberron’s dangerous Mournland, an area devastated by an event in the setting’s Last War and wracked with magical calamities and effects.

The description reads:

This book provides everything players and Dungeon Masters need to play Dungeons & Dragons in Eberron—a war-torn world filled with magic-fueled technology, airships and lightning trains, where noir-inspired mystery meets swashbuckling adventure. Will Eberron enter a prosperous new age or will the shadow of war descend once again?
