EA has revealed that Battlefield V will have a single-player mode. EA CEO Andrew Wilson revealed the news during Tuesday’s earnings report, according to IGN. The reveal is in contrast to the game’s FPS rival Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 which is dropping its single-player mode in favor of further work on multiplayer and the Battle Royale mode.

“With our next Battlefield game, the team at DICE is bringing the intensity of combat to life in new and unexpected ways,” Wilson said. “Every battle is unique, and every mode brings its own challenges – from the way you interact with the environment around you, to compelling single-player stories, to the next level of large-scale multiplayer that spans across multiple maps and modes.”

Battlefield V will reportedly take place during World War II. It will release in October.
