Wizards of the Coast game designer Chris Perkins has teasing a possible new Dungeons & Dragons product via his Twitter account. Perkins, who was the lead designer on the Fifth Edition Ravenloft reboot Curse of Strahd as well as Waterdeep: Dragon Heist and other sourcebooks, shared sketches for some maps which, he said, “might or might not be [for] an upcoming D&D project.”

The maps are for a “Dragon Barrow” and a “Tower of Storms,” and could give a clue as to what may be coming out this year. We already know that the company has three to four major releases slated this year, and the first one will be ship-based. The Tower of Storms map could easily be something for the ship-based product, with the Dragon Barrow perhaps being for some sort of aquatic dragon. They could also be for one of the later releases this year (or even early work for a 2020 project).

We’ll know more once the shipfaring book is officially announced, which seems likely to happen in the next couple of weeks.
