If you’re a fan of DC Comics’ The Last God and would like to play around in the world, good news: it’s becoming a D&D setting. DC has announced that the Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Riccardo Federici comic book, which features covers fromo Kai Carpenter, is getting a one-shot “sourcebook” that will lay out the world of Cain Anuun for D&D players to use as a setting.

The 44 page book will be created by Johnson, Federici, and Carpenter, as well as Nerd Poker’s DM Dan Telfer, and releases on April 29th through comic book retailers and participating digital retailers for $4.99. The sourcebook promises to “[detail] the rich history of the people, locations, schools of magic and creatures found throughout Cain Anuun.” It will include 5E compatible (i.e. not Wizards of the Coast official) content including playable races, subclasses, magic items, monsters and lore, and will include maps and illustrations from cartographer Jared Blando.

The Last God began publishing in October of last year through Black Label, DC’s mature imprint best known for Batman: Damned, Batman: Curse of the White Knight, Harleen, and Frank Miller’s Superman: Year One. It is described as follows:

The Last God tells the story of two fellowships of heroes struggling with the same threat…30 years apart. One group will doom their world, the other must save it.

Thirty years ago, a band of heroes traveled beyond the borders of creation and killed the last living god, saving the realm of Cain Anuun from an apocalyptic army of the undead. The legendary companions became the rulers of their world and ushered in a new era of peace and prosperity. But it did not last.

Now the foul legions of the Last God march once more, laying waste to all of Cain Anuun and revealing that the aging fellowship may not be the great heroes they claim to be. With the world burning down around them, a new group of unlikely champions must band together and accomplish what no other has done: kill the Last God, once and for all.
