Roll20 is teaming with Wizards of the Coast and Critical Role to help gamers deal with social distancing by releasing one of the Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount adventures for free. Roll20 announced on Wednesday that the adventure “Frozen Sick” is now available for free on the virtual tabletop platform. The adventure, which is designed to bring characters from 1st level to 3rd, is a way to introduce players to the Wildemount setting and you can get it here.

The free release is part of Roll20’s new “Stay at Home, Play at Home” initiative that was launched last week, which saw the free release of the Call of Cthulhu Quick-Start Rules and “The Lightless Beacon” introductory scenario, the “Master’s Vault” D&D 5E adventure, and the “starter pack” blank campaign for Monte Cook Games’ The Strange, along with a “Play From Home” pack of tokens and maps that is available until July 14th.

“Roll20’s mission has always been to unite gamers across any distance, and we’re working hard at continuing that pursuit as we see the world’s need to move their gaming gatherings online,” said Nolan T. Jones, Managing Partner of Roll20. “Critical Role has united and created millions of Dungeons & Dragons fans around the world, and we’re excited to offer their new playable adventures so gamers can continue expanding their hobby.”

The Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount is D&D’s latest campaign setting that released on Tuesday. Written and developed by a team led by Critical Role DM Matthew Mercer, the book details the Exandria-based setting that serves as the basis for Critical Role campaign two.
