Destiny Helped Two Video Game Developers Get Engaged

A video game developer got a big hand from Bungie in her proposal. Gamerant reports that developers Rami Ismail and Adriel Wallick got engaged through a proposal within Destiny that was aided by the staff devoted to the game.

The site reports that Wallick, a former developer at Fire Hose Games, proposed to Rami Ismael of indy game studio Vlambeer within the game using “several pieces of custom content” created by Bungie for them. Those included a special emote that allowed Wallick’s character to kneel and propose, an Artifact called Ring of Eternity and a letter at the Postmaster that suggested they get married. Ismail shared the different pieces of content on Twitter as he received them and revealed that he said yes. Wallick then thanked Bungie for helping her, specifically naming marketing producer Poria Torkan who “somehow managed to convince an entire team at Bungie to dedicate time and effort to such a dorky proposal.”

Destiny released its latest content update, Rise of Iron, late last month. It’s available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
