EA Sports and UFC officially revealed UFC 4 earlier today. The next installment in EA’s UFC game series will launch on August 14 and will feature middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and proverbial BMF champ and welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal as this year’s cover athletes. You can also check out the new reveal trailer below.

Gamers can pre-order the game now. Heavyweight boxing champions Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will be available as playable fighters for people who pre-order the game. Additional pre-order bonuses includes access to new Backyard and Kumite customization packs.

In terms of gameplay, EA is promising the new game will feature new unified progression system, overhauled takedown and ground mechanics, and a more fluid clinch-to-strike combinations system. The new environments will include The Kumite, The Backyard, UFC APEX, and Action Avenue. Players will be able to compete in Blitz Battles or Online World Championships to compete for the undisputed title.

Other features for the game include 1,600 new pieces of earnable gear, 120 emotes, and more. The game will also feature all the UFC weight classes and multiple MMA disciplines, such as Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing and more.

Speaking on the game in a press release, UFC President Dana White stated, “EA SPORTS UFC 4 is the best fighting game ever made. Fans can play in the top arenas, as well as in Backyard and Kumite environments. This game allows you to play with the top athletes in UFC history, plus legends like Bruce Lee and boxing champions Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. It’s crazy how good this game is.”

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya added, “I am the face of the new wave of UFC fighters, so it feels right to represent the sport on this new generation UFC game. I look forward to my fans playing as me as much as I have enjoyed playing as myself.”

UFC fighter Jorge Masivdal continued, “MMA is more than about the belt. It’s about who you are as a person and the determination that drives a fighter to go from unknown to selling out arenas all over the world. I grew up backyard fighting so it’s exciting for me to see that style of fighting come to UFC 4 where players can bring out their Gamebred mentality.”

EA Sports UFC 4 launches on Friday, August 4 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
