Conan Unconquered

Earlier this weekend, Funcom officially announced a new PC strategy game based on the Conan the Barbarian franchise. Titled Conan Unconquered, the new game is already listed on Steam for a Q2 2019 release. You can check out the cinematic reveal trailer below.

Developed by Petroglyph (Command & Conquer), players will seek to build a stronghold and assemble an army to survive various enemy hordes, set in the world of Conan the Barbarian. Players can play two or two-player co-op for a shared multiplayer experience. In this mode, players will share a base but can also construct new building and amass a huge army to reach a common goal.

Throughout the experience, players have to face enemy hordes and resist the invasion for as long as possible based on the strength of their strongholds and armies. Gameplay will be real-time, but players will be able to pause at any time to issue commands and construct new buildings.

Additionally, players will be able to unlock heroes to influence the outcome of battles, including Conan himself. The Heroes will have special abilities, and players will be able to equip unique artifacts as they explore the world.

Each gameplay map will feature vast elements for players to explore beyond their stronghold, such as great treasures. These treasures will be protected by massive guardians who will need to be defeated to claim the loot. Players will also have the option to summon gods such as Mitra to crush their enemies.

Conan Unconquered will arrive in the second quarter of 2019 for Windows PC.
