A new villain has joined the fray in Street Fighter. Capcom and Street Fighter executive producer Yoshinori Ono today unveiled a new World Warrior for the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition roster with Kage. Kage marks the first new character for the upcoming season and is available today for the game on PlayStation 4 and Steam.

Kage is the physical embodiment of the evil spirit, “Satsui no Hado,” that could potentially take over Ryu and turn him into Evil Ryu. In the General Story, Ryu was able to overcome the Satsui no Hado and regained control over his former self.

However, the evil spirit has returned and found a way to manifest in a physical form in the physical realm, who is Kage. Now, Kage hungers for power and looks to show that Ryu is nothing without him.

Additionally, a new downloadable update is also available for the game that will provide players with balance changes for the rest of the 32-character roster. Five of the characters – F.A.N.G, Vega, Chun-Li, Abigail, and M. Bison – will receive brand new moves to enhance their play style.

Also, Capcom announced that the Capcom Pro Tour (CPT), the premier league for Street Fighter esports, will be returning for 2019. The first premier is set to take place at Final Round on March 15, 2019.

The full schedule and rules for the 2019 Capcom Pro Tour season will be released in early 2019. Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be the official game for the Capcom Pro Tour’s 2019 season.
