Lego: Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Are No Longer on Steam

January 5, 2019 | Posted by Larry Csonka

According to PC Gamer, Lego: Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit are no longer on Steam. Warner Bros. hasn’t explained why the games have been delisted on digital stores but did confirm that they’re no longer available.

Lego: The Lord of the Rings and Lego: The Hobbit will no longer be available for sale in digital stores. The games will remain in players’ libraries if they already own them.

Expired licenses are usually the reason behind games being removed like this. In the past, Activision’s Spider-Man games were also removed over expired licenses. In the case of these games, there is the license to publish Lego games and the license to use Middle Earth-related stories, so it’s possible Warner Bros., which publishes the games, lost one of the two licenses it needs.

If you own either game, be sure to activate your keys from Humble as soon as possible.
