During Monday’s Sony PlayStation E3 press conference, a number of new details were revealed for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. For starters, a new free story demo is now available for the game to download on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles that will give players an early look at the game’s cinematic story mode. This marks the first time in the franchise’s history that it will have its own dedicated story mode. You can also check out a new story trailer for the game that was revealed at the press conference.

The new game will put players at the center of a battle where the fate of both the Marvel and Capcom universes hang in the balance. Heroes of both worlds will have to band together to stop Ultron Sigma, a new combined form of Marvel’s Ultron and Sigma of the Mega Man X series.

A number of new playable characters were also confirmed. For the Marvel side, Thanos, Gamora, Nova, and Doctor Strange will all be playable characters. For Capcom, Dante of Devil May Cry, Zero of Mega Man X, Spencer of Bionic Commando, and Sir Arthur of Ghosts ‘n Goblins will join the fighter roster. The game will also feature new areas that merge iconic locations of both universes, including Knowmoon, which combines Knowhere of Marvel and the Third Moon from the Strider franchise. There’s also Xgard, which combines Asgard and Abel City from Mega Man X.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will arrive on September 19. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC across North America and Europe.
