New Extended Gameplay Preview Released For Destiny 2

Bungie and Activision have released a new gameplay preview for Destiny 2, showing the game’s entire first mission. A new feature was revealed during the livestream called “Guided Games”, which allows all players easier access to the game’s “most challenging and rewarding activities.” It lets solo players find and play with others and earn new rewards like weapons and armor. There’s also a new “Countdown” competitive multiplayer mode, a three-player co-op on a new map called Inverted Spire. When Destiny 2 is released on PC, it will also be available on Blizzard’s It will be released for the Playstation 4 (with additional, timed exclusive content), Xbox One and PC on September 8.

Here’s a synopsis: Humanity’s last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force, led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. He has stripped the city’s Guardians of their power, and forced the survivors to flee. You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities. To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.

In Destiny 2 players will answer this call, embarking on a fresh story filled with new destinations around our solar system to explore, and an expansive amount of activities to discover. Every player creates their own character called a “Guardian,” humanity’s chosen protectors. As a Guardian in Destiny 2, players must master new abilities and weapons to reunite the city’s forces, stand together and fight back to reclaim their home. There is something for almost every type of gamer in Destiny 2, including gameplay for solo, cooperative and competitive players set within a vast, evolving and exciting universe.
