Warner Bros. Games and DC Entertainment this weekend released a new story trailer and featurette for Gotham Knights, the upcoming open-world, third-person action RPG that’s currently in development by Warner Bros. Games Montréal. The trailer debuted yesterday at DC FanDome. Both videos are available to view below.

A little over a year after the game was first announced in August 2020 during the first DC FanDome, the new story trailer showcases the game’s main antagonist, the Court of Owls, a secret society composed of Gotham City’s wealthiest families.

The new trailer also features The Penguin, aka Oswald Cobblepot, one of the most infamous Super-Villains of the Batman Rogues’ Gallery. Penguin appears to know important details about the Court and the threat it poses to Gotham City and its new guard of heroes: Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin.

FanDome also featured a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Gotham Knights, which featured commentary from artist and DC Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee, writer Scott Snyder, artist Greg Capullo, game Creative Director Patrick Redding, and Narrative Director Ann Lemay. During the commentary, the expanded on the origins of the Court of Owls and how the grou is incorporated into the game world of Gotham Knights.

Gotham Knights is in development as a multi-platform release. It’s expected to drop later next year.
