IGN reports that the first patch for 2018 has been released for Star Wars: Battlefront II. It includes bug fixes and various tweaks, but also includes some new additions. These include a new ship for Starfighter Assault, Iden Versio’s TIE/In Fighter.

The new ship comes with new special abilities, including an Afterburner which can give a temporary boost and break enemy locks. It also has rapid-fire lasers, dual proton torpedoes. The Inferno Leader ability reveals all enemies in a specific range to all allied players, and increases damage to them during that time. New Star Cards have been launched to support the new ship, with effects to enhance abilities, increase weapon damage and reduce cool-downs.

The patch will also expand the Blast game mode to the planet of Crait. There are also character tweaks. Finn’s EL-16 had a base damage drop from 65 to 45, while Deadeye shots drop from 40 to 30. Boba Fett’s Rocket Barrage dropped from 90 to 78, with the inner and outer radii of damage dropping to 1.5 and 3 metres. The stability and bug fixes include a reduced fade-in time for minimap sectors, and abilities like Finn’s Big Deal getting fixed, as they weren’t properly affecting Heroes and Special Units.
