If you’re hoping to use your PlayStation 4 DualShock controllers when the PS5 arrives this holiday season, guess again. PlayStation did a blog post answering questions about which PS4 peripherals will work on the PlayStation 5, and the PS4 DualShock is out in the cold.

Specifically regarding the PS4 DualShock, the blog entry says, “No, we believe that PS5 games should take advantage of the new capabilities and features we’re bringing to the platform, including the features of DualSense wireless controller.” The console will come with a DualSense controller, but you will not be able to use your DualShock as a second controller.

Also noted in the blog is that the PS4’s PlayStation camera will be supported through an adapter provided at no additional cost The Platinum and Gold Wireless Headsets will work on PS5 along with third-party headsets that connect via USB port or audio jack. The headset companion app is not compatible, however.

The PS5 is scheduled to launch late this year.
