As previously reported, SEGA announced earlier this year that the original two Shenmue games, Shenmue I and II, would receive a re-release for current-gen platforms later this year. SEGA has now confirmed the re-release of the original two groundbreaking games will launch on August 21.

To celebrate the launch, SEGA released a video showing two Shenmue superfans, Adam Koralik and Imran Yusuf, revisiting the real life location of Dobuita Street that is recreated in the game. You can check out that video below.

Join Adam Koralik and Imran Yusuf as they revisited the real life location of Dobuita Street, the iconic place that was recreated in Shenmue. Some fans still check out Dobuita Street every year in order to retrace Ryo Hazuki’s footsteps to celebrate their love for the franchise.

The first two games will be re-released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC for a new generation of players on August 21. You can check out the new pre-order trailer for the re-releases below. The third, long-awaited game in the franchise is currently in development for Windows PC and PlayStation 4.
