Stephanie McMahon Says a WWE RPG Will Be Announced Soon

WWE is getting into the roleplaying game arena, as Stephanie McMahon revealed during the company’s Q1 earnings call. During today’s financial results call, McMahon touched on the success of WWE 2K22 from a critical and commercial level and went on to talk about the other gaming arenas WWE is involved in and delving into.
After talking about their performance on mobile like WWE SuperCard and WWE Champions, McMahon said that the company “recently signed a new deal in the role-playing game space that will be announced soon.”
It is not currently clear whether the RPG would be a video game RPG or a tabletop one. TTRPGs have taken off in the last couple of years thanks to the rise in popularity of games like D&D, Pathfinder, and more. In terms of video games, RPGs are often associated with fantasy or sci-fi games like Elden Ring, Final Fantasy, Fallout, and the like but it’s far from restricted to those genres.
