If you want to play a roleplaying game in the world of The Witcher, you’ll have a chance to dive in for free in June. R. Talsorian Games has announced that they will be releasing an “Easy Mode” introductory booklet for Free RPG Day on June 15th. The twenty-four page booklet will introduce players to the RPG’s Interlock system, allowing them to jump right into the setting with pregenerated characters and an adventure.

The Witcher RPG launched in August of 2018 through R.Talsorian, the makers of Cyberpunk 2020, and is based on CD Projekt’s The Witcher franchise (itself based on the books by Andrzej Sapkowski). The RPG was among the best-selling roleplaying games on DriveThruRPG in 2018. It features four playable races and nine classes, with a dark fantasy feel akin to the games and graphic novels. The first expansion, The Lords and Lands, was announced in November with the game’s bestiary, A Witcher’s Journal, releasing soon as well. For fans of the Witcher franchise, it’s well worth checking out.

You can pick up the full RPG on DriveThruRPG, or wait for the Easy Mode to test it out when Free RPG Day arrives at your Friendly Logal Gaming Store or on DriveThruRPG.
