With an AEW Games event coming this week, Tony Khan took time to answer a question after Full Gear about the company’s fairly expansive plans for a video game line. Khan was asked about the company’s plans during the post-PPV virtual media scrum and he revealed that there are more than one game currently in development.

“I can’t say too much,” he said. “We’re making multiple games. We’re working on more than one game at AEW Games. And we’re going to cater to different platforms, we’re going to cater to different kinds of games, and different interests. I think we’ll put a title out that’s — a console game that’s [a] ‘best in class’ console game. We’re really excited about it. We have some big surprises to come in 2020. I just can’t say enough, that there’s still time in 2020. The show was great but there’s still gonna be a lot to come this year. And that can impact our video game plans.”

AEW launched that AEW Games social media accounts last week and announced an “AEW Games 1.0” event that will take place on Tuesday. Khan also hinted at the development of a General Manager-style game, which has been speculated on since it was reported that trademarks for All Elite Wrestling: Elite General Manager” and “Elite GM” were filed in September.

“And I think also, we’re going to put something out for those people like myself that love putting wrestling cards up together and it’ll allow someone to do the job I do and be the general manager of AEW, and book cards,” he said. “So that’ll be fun. And there’s going to be a few different titles, and then I don’t think we’re going to stop anywhere either. I think we’re going to expand here at AEW Games, because it’s a great chance to build AEW, and introduce gaming fans to AEW and introduce AEW to gaming fans, and expand and build a business. So there’s a lot to come from there.”
