During today’s Microsoft Xbox E3 2018 press conference, Ubisoft revealed new details for the next installment for the best-selling franchise, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. You can check out the game’s new E3 2018 Washington D.C. Aftermath Trailer in the player below.

The sequel is set to use an updated version of the Snowdrop Engine and is set seven months after the events of the first game. In The Division, a deadly virus was released in New York City and players take the role of a soldier in a special paramilitary group to help control the chaos.

The Division 2 takes players to a fractured and collapsing Washington D.C. The world is on the brink and people are trying to survive the biggest crisis in human history. Players take the role of veteran Division agents and are the last hope against the complete collapse of society as enemy factions vie for control. If Washington DC is lost, the whole country will fall.

Ubisoft promises the new title will build upon listening to and learning from The Division community, which is set to offer a substantial campaign that “organically flows” into a robust endgame. Ubisoft says the sequel will create a “cohesive and meaningful experience for all types of players.

Tom Clancy’s The Devision 2 is due out later next year. The game will be available March 15, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. Players can register for beta access now for a chance to play at
