– vs. Tyron Woodley – Draw via decision – UFC 205 – November 12, 2016

Next scheduled appearance:

– Unknown

Comment: Thompson was knocked out for the first time in his MMA career, courtesy of a series of punches from Anthony Pettis last month. It also marks the first time “Wonderboy” has lost consecutive fights and he’s now 1-3 in his last four bouts.

12) “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler (28-13, 1 NC)

Height: 5’11

Birthday: March 20, 1982

Currently Fighting With: UFC

Last 5 fights:

– vs. Ben Askren – Loss via submission (bulldog choke) – UFC 235 – March 2, 2019

– vs. Rafael dos Anjos – Loss via decision (unanimous) – UFC on Fox – December 16, 2017

– vs. Carlos Condit – Win via decision (split) – UFC 195: Lawler vs. Condit – January 2, 2016

Next scheduled appearance:

– vs. Tyron Woodley – UFC on ESPN – June 29, 2019

Comment: Lawler didn’t seem to care about getting an immediate rematch with Ben Askren after the weird end to their fight last month (plus, Askren certainly wanted to move past Lawler). Thus, we get a different rematch as Lawler will square up with fellow former champion Tyron Woodley. In fact, it was Woodley who knocked Robbie out and ended his title reign two years ago.

13) Rafael dos Anjos (28-11)

Height: 5’9

Birthday: October 26, 1984

Currently Fighting With: UFC

Last 5 fights:

– vs. Kamaru Usman – Loss via decision (unanimous) – UFC Fight Night – November 30, 2018

– vs. Colby Covington – Loss via decision (unanimous) – UFC 225 – June 9, 2018

– vs. Robbie Lawler – Win via decision (unanimous) – UFC on Fox – December 16, 2017

– vs. Neil Magny – Win via submission (arm triangle choke) – UFC 215 – September 9, 2017

– vs. Tarec Saffiedine – Win via decision (unanimous) – UFC Fight Night – June 17, 2017

Next scheduled appearance:

– vs. Kevin Lee – UFC Fight Night – May 18, 2019

Comment: Kevin Lee is 1-2 in his last three fights (and missed weight ahead of the victory), so he is moving up to welterweight where he’ll meet Rafael dos Anjos next month. RDA needs a win to avoid a 0-3 streak (by that point, every unranked fighter will call him up thinking of it as an easy fight against a former champion).

14) Jon Fitch (31-7-1, 1 NC)

Height: 6’0

Birthday: February 24, 1978

Currently Fighting With: Bellator MMA

Last 5 fights:

– vs. Paul Daley – Win via decision (unanimous) – Bellator 199 – May 12, 2018

– vs. Brian Foster – Win via submission (rear naked choke) – PFL – June 30, 2017

– vs. Jake Shields – Win via decision (unanimous) – WSOF 34 – December 31, 2016

– vs. Joao Zeferino – Win via decision (unanimous) – WSOF 30 – April 2, 2016

– vs. Yushin Okami – Win via decision (unanimous) WSOF 24 – October 17, 2015

Next scheduled appearance:

– vs. Rory MacDonald – Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix – Bellator 220 – April 27, 2019

15) Leon Edwards (17-3)

Height: 6’0

Birthday: August 25, 1991

Currently Fighting With: UFC

Last 5 fights:

– vs. Gunnar Nelson – Win via decision (split) – UFC Fight Night – March 16, 2019

– vs. Donald Cerrone – Win via decision (unanimous) – UFC Fight Night – June 23, 2018

– vs. Peter Sobotta – Win via TKO (strikes) – UFC Fight Night – March 17, 2018

– vs. Bryan Barbarena – Win via decision (unanimous) – September 2, 2017

– vs. Vicente Luque – Win via decision (unanimous) – March 18, 2017

Next scheduled appearance:

– Unknown

Comment: Edwards picked up a decision win over Gunnar Nelson in England last month. He made news more for what happened after the event. Jorge Masvidal, fresh from his KO of Darren Till, was talking with media when Edwards walked by and words were exchanged. Masvidal followed Edwards, and more words were exchanged with the two standing nose to nose. Masvidal threw a combination that bloodied Edwards before they were separated.
