Amanda Nunes vs. Felicia Spencer Title Fight Set For June 6th UFC Show

May 5, 2020 | Posted by Ashish

ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reports that Amanda Nunes defending her featherweight title against Felicia Spencer is now set for the June 6th UFC event. The fight was originally scheduled to take place at UFC 250 on May 9th in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but that show ended up being postponed after the venue where the show was scheduled to take place was turned into a COVID-19 field hospital.

Dana White wanted to have the fight on the May 9th UFC fight card in Jacksonville, FL, but Nunes objected out of concerns over training during the ongoing pandemic.

June 6th was originally the date of UFC 251 which was set to take place in Perth, Western Australia but that show has been postponed.

No word yet on where the new June 6th UFC show will take place.
