Announcers Set For Saturday’s UFC 220 Event

MMA Junkie reports that the broadcast team has been set for UFC 220, including the debut of former Bellator announcer Jimmy Smith. The event happens on Saturday at the TD Garden in Boston, airing on PPV after preliminary fights on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass. Jon Anik will provide play-by-play with Joe Rogan and Dominick Cruz on color commentary. Megan Olivi will provide on-site interviews.

The FOX Sports desk will include Smith, Karyn Bryant, Kenny Florian and Rashad Evans. Smith will also handle color commentary for future UFC events. Marlon Vera and Victor Davila will provide Spanish-language commentary for FOX Deportes.

The event features a main event of heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic (17-2 MMA, 11-2 UFC) vs. Francis Ngannou (11-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC), as well as light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier (19-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) vs. Volkan Oezdemir (15-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC). FS1 will also air UFC Tonight today on FS2 at 7 PM ET, as well as the ceremonial weigh-ins on Friday at 6 PM ET on FS1 and the pre-show on FS1 at 7 PM ET on Saturday. A post-show airs at 1 AM ET.
