Bellator NYC Priced At $49.95 For HD PPV

March 28, 2017 | Posted by Joseph Lee

MMA Junkie reports that Bellator NYC will be priced at $49.95 on PPV for the high-definition version. The event happens on June 24 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Bellator President Scott Coker confirmed the news earlier today after the price was announced on The MMA Hour. A price for the standard definition version hasn’t been revealed.

Bellator’s first PPV, Bellator 120, was priced between $30 and $45, but former CEO Bjorn Rebney said this was because cable operators picked their own price. That event brought in 100,000 buys. The location could be the reason for the price increase, as Bellator 120 happened at the Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi. Here’s the card:

“Bellator: NYC” (PPV):
Wanderlei Silva vs. Chael Sonnen
Fedor Emelianenko vs. Matt Mitrione
Champ Douglas Lima vs. Lorenz Larkin – for welterweight title
Champ Michael Chandler vs. Brent Primus – for lightweight title

Bellator 180 (Spike TV):
James Gallagher vs. Chinzo Machida
Aaron Pico vs. TBA
