Bellator Planning Welterweight Grand Prix To Kick Off in September

Bellator is set to begin a welterweight grand prix on their as-yet-untitled September 29th show. MMA Fighting reports that the plans were confirmed at a press conference on Tuesday. The same card will feature Gegard Mousasi vs. Rory MacDonald in a champion vs. champion fight and Wanderlei Silva vs. Quinton Jackson.

The eight-man field has yet to be finalized for the grand prix. The show will stream on DAZN as part of a new deal with the service.
