Conor McGregor says the first UFC 229 press conference will be open to the public, despite the fact that it actually isn’t. McGregor posted to Twitter saying that the event, which takes place Thursday in New York, will be open to the public for the cost of two bottles of his Proper No. Twelve whiskey, as you can see below:

The ticket for entry is a bottle of @ProperWhiskey.
2 bottles and you skip the Q to the top.
My soldiers will be outside making sure this rule is strictly adhered to.

Obviously, this seems to be a cheap and easy way to just promote his whiskey, or at best a joke. The UFC maintains that the press conference will be closed to the public.
UFC 229 takes place on Octobert 6th in Las Vegas and airs on PPV after preliminary fights on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
