Conor McGregor Set For Court On Assault Charges Over Punching Man At Bar

October 6, 2019 | Posted by Ashish

Independent.ie (h/t MMAWeekly) reports that Conor McGregor will have to appear in Dublin District Court on October 11th to face a charge of assault under Section Two of the Non-Fatal Offenses Against the Person Act.

This all stems from an incident on April 6th where McGregor punched an older bar patron at the Marble Arch Pub in Dublin after the man refused to take a shot of McGregor’s Proper No. Twelve whiskey. TMZ released video footage of the incident.

McGregor has acknowledged the incident and admitted that he was in the wrong. He faces a maximum sentence of six months in prison, a fine of a little over $1600, or both.
