Conor McGregor Doesn’t Think He’ll Ever Leave MMA Completely
Conor McGregor may not be jumping into the Octagon anytime soon, but he doesn’t think he’ll ever walk away from MMA. The controversial former UFC champion responded to a fan on Twitter who asked why he would ever keep fighting when he has enough money to “just keep investing and getting richer,” saying that he loves the sport and doesn’t think he could ever fully walk away.
McGregor announced his retirement in March, with Dana White saying he should do so considering how well-off he is. But he seemed to quickly go back on that in an exchange earlier this month with Khabib Nurmagomedov, telling Nurmagomedov “Now see you in the Octagon.”
I hear you but I love it dearly. If I am being honest with myself I don’t think I will ever be able to fully walk away from fighting.
We are all fighters in this world and each of us will be fighting for the rest of our time here. So why not do it live on PPV baby. Pop a bottle! https://t.co/5C5w2Awis7— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) April 28, 2019
