Conor McGregor Forgot Cup and Mouthpiece Before His Fight With Floyd Mayweather

TMZ has a bit of an interesting follow-up report on last weekend’s blockbuster boxing match with Floyd Mayweather and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor.

According to the report, McGregor did not have his protective cup before the fight. It apparently happened just after having his hands wrapped while he was still wearing his suit. McGregor reportedly realized he did not have his custom jockstrap and cup combo, along with his mouthpiece.

Both items were apparently left at McGregor’s home in Las Vegas. One of his team members had to race out of the T-Mobile arena to retrieve the fight equipment for the main event bout. McGregor’s team member reportedly made it back to the event with the gear with enough time to spare.

The fight was held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada last Saturday (August 26). Mayweather defeated McGregor by knockout in the 10th round. Mayweather now retires (again) with a professional boxing record of 50-0, and he remains undefeated.
