Cris Cyborg Still Seeking Fight With Amanda Nunes Despite UFC 222 Booking

Cris Cyborg has a fight at UFC 222 but after that, her eyes are returning to Amanda Nunes. Cyborg posted to Instagram (per MMAjunkie) once it was announced that she would face Yana Kunitskaya for the UFC 222 co-main event, saying that she hasn’t forgotten about the heavily-speculated matchup with Nunes.

“Amanda, don’t worry,” Cyborg said in the post. “(You) have girls coming for you, like (Cat Zingano) and (Ketlen Vieira). Our fight is still on the table for July.”

Cyborg and Nunes have been circulating a potential fight since the beginning of the year, after Cyborg beat Holly Holm on December 20th, 2017.
