Dana White is still expecting Brock Lesnar to be the next challenger to Daniel Cormier’s heavyweight title. White spoke after Cormier defeated Derrick Lewis at UFC 230 and said that he expects the fight to take place.

Asked whether Lesnar would be next for Cormier, White said, “Should be. You don’t know. I can’t predict anything but… yeah.”

The comments come after Cormier said last month that he didn’t know whether he would face Lesnar or Cormier. That situation appears settled after Jones said he’s not interested in a third battle with Cormier.

When asked if he’s heard from Lesnar, White said, “Have not talked to Brock tonight but I haven’t looked at my phone either. Brock and I haven’t talked in a little while. He was doing his WWE stuff and we’ll see.”

He also noted as far as when the fight might take place, “There is no timeline, I have no timeline… first of all, Cormier took this thing of short notice. We’re going to let him have some time off.”
