It looks like Dana White and Floyd Mayweather Jr. could still work together. White and Mayweather said last year that the two were working on an event together, likely for October or November of 2020, but nothing ended up being finalized. White, however, says something is still possible, telling TMZ Sports that he and Mayweather are still talking.

“Floyd and I still have dialogue and go back and forth and we’re still interested on both sides,” White said.

He added that doing something together remains “very possible.”

When asked if a rematch between Mayweather and Conor McGregor is possible, White said that McGregor is retired.

“No, I know he would rematch Conor McGregor, but I don’t know if you heard about this, but Conor McGregor’s retired, I don’t know if you heard about that or not,” White said. “When I’m doing things right now, running the business, I don’t even think about Conor, Conor’s retired. As of right here, right now, today, Conor is retired. Until Conor tells me differently, I’m not trying to make any fights for Conor.”
