Conor McGregor’s next fight will not be against UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, per Dana White. Usman sparked speculation on the possible fight when he said recently that if Jorge Masvidal was looking to fight Nate Diaz next over a title shot, they would ask the UFC to offer McGregor the title shot. However, White told ESPN that McGregor vs. Usman is not on the table.

“Listen, the next title fight for Usman is going to be one of these guys: it’s gonna be Colby (Covington), Masvidal, (Leon) Edwards,” said White (per MMA Weekly). “It’s going to be one of those guys. It’s not gonna be Conor McGregor.”

When asked about the possibility of Masvidal rematching Diaz for the BMF title, White suggested he would rather see Masvidal face Usman, noting, “I would rather see the UFC title be defended than the BMF title. Anything is possible, but those are the fights that make sense right now.”
