Dana White says that the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight is aiming to beat the Vegas odds for PPV buys of 4.9 million. White said during a conference call per MMAjunkie) that the Showtime PPV is going to “kill” the over-under betting line on how many people will pay $90 – $100 for the show.

“There’s a lot of things boxing doesn’t do,” White said. “For instance, most of the time, you’re dealing with a network. Networks aren’t too excited to go OTT. It’s not a big thing they’re into. We have the capabilities, we do it all the time, and I believe we’re one of the best to do it. The numbers are tracking huge. We’re going to do the numbers that everybody has been talking we’re going to do.”

The card takes place on August 26th. If the 4.9 million buy-rate holds,it would be well above the 4.4 million that Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao did in 2015. That show generated over $400 million in revenue.
