Dana White said in a recent interview that Georges St-Pierre is retired, but GSP’s manager disagrees. White told TSN in Canada that St-Pierre is done with fighting and doesn’t seem interested in returning.

“We’ve been talking about a fight with ‘GSP,’ but ‘GSP’ is retired,” White said. “As far as I’m concerned, ‘GSP’ is retired right now. He’s not interested in fighting anybody.”

St-Pierre’s manager Rodolphe Beaulieu was asked by MMAjunkie about White’s claim and denied his client is retired. Beaulieu said, “He was on Ariel (Helwani’s) show a few weeks ago and on Joe Rogan’s podcast a couple weeks ago and during a three-hour interview he never said he was retired. He mentioned on both what would interest him. On both interviews he said exactly why he had no interest for the Diaz fight. He explained all his reasoning.”

St-Pierre’s last fight was at UFC 217 in November, when he returned after four years and beat Michael Bisping for the UFC middleweight title. He vacated the title thirty-three days later due to an ongoing issue with ulcerative colitis.
