Dana White Says Ronda Rousey Was UFC’s Mike Tyson

August 9, 2017 | Posted by Joseph Lee

Dana White was a guest on Mike Tyson’s podcast Bite the Mic, where he said that Ronda Rousey was the UFC’s version of Mike Tyson. Tyson himself asked White who he saw as the fighter who made an impact similar to his own.

He said: “Our Tyson was Ronda (Rousey), man. Ronda had this aura of invincibility that we’ve never seen before. That’s why everyone was calling Ronda our Mike Tyson because she was the most dominant athlete on the planet. Conor (McGregor) is different. Conor is completely different than a Tyson – his verbal game, his picking the round.

Rousey is rumored to be retired from UFC. She went undefeated in 12 MMA fights (six in UFC) prior to her two-fight losing streak to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes.
